Our guides and tools explain public rules in plain language. They do not consider your full circumstances. PR Wala Uncle is not a law firm, a registered migration agent, a licensed immigration consultant, a government office or a university. For a decision about your own case, speak to your university’s international office (in the USA, your Designated School Official), a licensed immigration lawyer, or a registered migration agent in the country you are applying to.
Rules change: check the official source
Immigration rules, fees and amounts change often, sometimes with little notice. Each guide and tool links the official government page it relies on and shows when we last checked it. Where a change has been announced, we show the current rule and the future rule separately with the date. Always confirm on the official page before you pay a fee, submit an application or move money. If the official page and our page disagree, the official page is right, and please tell us.
Calculators and checklists
Our tools give planning estimates. Meeting an official minimum does not mean a visa will be granted or that the money will be enough to live on. Officers can ask for more evidence. Exchange rates and living costs vary.
