Choosing where to study is one of the biggest decisions for Nepali students. This page compares the USA, Canada, the UK and Australia side by side: the student visa, work rights while studying, and options to work after graduation.

How to choose
- Total cost, not just tuition: add living costs, health cover, visa fees and flights. Our budget guide shows how to plan monthly spending.
- Work after graduation: compare the length and conditions of OPT, the PGWP, the UK Graduate visa and the 485 visa for your exact course.
- Family: if you plan to bring a spouse, the UK now limits this to research postgraduates.
- Stability: all four countries changed student rules in 2024–2026. Choose a course you would be happy with even if the rules change again.
