Canada Raises Study Permit Proof of Funds to CAD 23,448 from 1 September 2026
1 September 2026. Canada. The living-cost amount that study permit applicants must show has gone up.
New amount
- Single student, applications on or after 1 September 2026: CAD 23,448
- Previous amount (1 January 2025 to 31 August 2026): CAD 22,895
- This is on top of first-year tuition and travel costs, and it rises for each accompanying family member.
- Quebec sets its own requirement.
